Nectar in a Sieve!

Posted in Uncategorized on May 19, 2008 by traviswlh

This book was a very strange book. It opened my eyes to the life styles of poor Indian farmers and their constant struggle for survival. I had no idea that each day, they worked from sun up to sun down to just get enough money for very little food. Then suddenly, it changes with the new buildings of the western civilizations. The book was a real easy story to get in to, it was a topic I never read about before or would think about reading. The characters were amazing, in all aspects. It felt like, I was sitting in the book and having Ruku tell me about her life. It was as if I was in the small village and living each day just to survive.  Near the end of the book, it became sad with the death of Nathan, the mood changed again. Overall I really liked this novel. It kept my interest long enough and didn’t go on and on like some other books tend to do. It seemed just like life a new event happens everyday in this case ever chapter.

Self-evaluation

Blogging overall was fun, I thought. It helped me a lot with understanding Tartuffe. The post i thought I did the best on were the ones that I asked questions on.  Other people were quick to answer my questions and would help me. Also with the other blogs, I got to see that other people were having some of the same questions. The overall experience was great, and it was a lot easier then keeping a journal.

Damis…

Posted in Uncategorized on April 24, 2008 by traviswlh

Damis has just overheard Tartuffe and told is father Orgon about it. The only thing is that Orgon does not belive his own son, and calls him a liar. That just proves that Orgon likes Tartuffe better then his own family. This also

makes me wonder whats going to happen to Damis now?

Orgon again…

Posted in Uncategorized on April 23, 2008 by traviswlh

Orgon is one of the strangest characters I have ever read about. He agreed with his daughter that she could marry Valere, but then changes his mind and now is going to force her to marry Tartuffe. This act make Orgon seems like a “jerk” to all of his family. The only one he seems to care about is Tartuffe, and he is even more concerned about Tartuffe’s health then his own wife’s.

Whats up with Orgon?

Posted in Uncategorized on April 16, 2008 by traviswlh

Orgon is some how falling for Tartuffe, but everyone else knows that he is full of crap. Could it be that Orgon is following his teachings? Or can it be that he is just stupid? I’m not sure, but he is ready to die for Tartuffe or at least give everything to him…

Tartuffe

This picture reminded me of Tartuffe because how he is decieving Orgon, but every else knows its a trick.
